Just a view of a bit of my garden.
Not the best of photo's as I was hanging out
of my upstairs bathroom window :laughing:
Hard to get a shot of the whole garden as
it is sort of an L shape :D

After having my gardening break recently, I thought
you might like to see the results of my hard work :D :D

Aww thanks, though it doesn't look quite so neat today, must get out there and weed :phew:
I've had good amounts of Rhubarb, and my Marrows have done well, but the rest :shrug: :hmm: tooooo much rain this year :(
Oh well, always next year :D :D

I remember back in the late 50's early 60's, Mum used to make marrow rum. I never liked marrow, and probably still wouldn't if presented to me, but I loved that marrow rum. As a youngster it was illicit booze for me. :lol:

Wow, Marrow rum, that sounds nice, not heard of that before.
Yes I don't know many people who like marrow, maybe people overcook it or something. I cut it into slabs, cook it only for a few minutes, then put lots of butter and black pepper on it :yum::drool::hungry:

Sorry I'm late answering, gone into lazy mode for the last couple days hehe :giggle:
No weeding done yet either :shrug: :)

Weeds are only plants in an unwanted location. Even weeds have their place in this world. :lol:

Marrow rum was very sweet, and quite strong, from what I remember. It's been several decades since I last had it. Maybe as far back as the late 1960's.

If you can find a recipe for it, and you drink alcohol, I'd recommend trying your hand at it. Cheap to make. But it does use a lot of sugar from what I remember. I was only a child/teenager back then.

Haha yes, I've always thought that too, some are just so pretty I don't have the heart to pull them up, so I just leave them. In fact, the only reason I weed at all is because my garden is tiny, there isn't room for weeds and the stuff I grow to eat :):)

Ah, I was thinking of looking up marrow rum, but then I can't have alcohol with the meds I'm on so....hmm, shame.
